What Hazel Nutt ate today! 10-8-18

Today for breakfast hazel had her paw patrol chicken nuggets, heart shaped cheese slices, strawberry yogurt with an animal cracker crumb heart, and a few heart shaped apples. I would show a picture of how much she ate but we had company over and unfortunately they were sharing a bit. They definitely loved it though! Especially the strawberry yogurt and chocolate animal crackers! As my husband said, "it's the bomb diggity!" These chocolate animal crackers taste just like oreo cookies but have less fat and sugar. It truly is the bomb diggity! My husband was simply dipping the animal crackers into the yogurt this morning, reminiscent of chips and dip! I LOVE that idea for a quick snack!

This was Theodore's plate this morning, our company we had over. He is my two year old nephew. I was babysitting while his parents went to a doctor's appointment. I'm expecting a little niece named Delilah soon, and we are all so excited to meet her! Back to his breakfast though, he had paw patrol chicken, stingray shaped cheese slices, strawberry yogurt with animal cracker crumbs, and some apple fries on the side. I would say Theodore ate the most between him and hazel. He ate all of his yogurt and even some of Hazel's! He also ate a couple of the fries. They really didn't eat as much as I expected them to since they were following me around the kitchen the entire prep time of their meal!

Here's Hazel's lunch today! A peanut butter sandwich cut into stars, broccoli cheese tots, sweet and spicy pickle rings & dots, and a couple of pretzel goldfish. I used a cookie cutter to cut the sandwiches and used a cupcake corer to cut the pickle. She ate most of the pickles from her lunch and ate all but one broccoli tot. She didn't touch her sandwiches. Well, I guess if moving the goldfish counts, then she may have touched her sandwiches she just didn't eat them. She ate all of the pickle rings but left the pickle dots. My guess is that she thought they were something different. At first I couldn't decide what to do with the pickles, then seen my cupcake corer and thought: circles! It looked better than I imagined it would and I actually like how it turned out.

Hazel loves these pickles! They are the spicy maple bourbon pickles from Walmart. No, they do not contain any alcohol, but they are considerably spicy!

Hazel's dinner.. well, she fell asleep right before it was done cooking, so I actually had to wake her up to eat. Needless to say, she was NOT happy. Finally after a few attempts to go back to sleep and being given some fresh milk, she decided to wake up. She immediately went after the pizza. My husband calls pizza 'pizaZZa" (even when it's just me and him) and now I can't stop calling it that in my head. Anyway, her dinner was spooky spider pizzas, pinto beans in a sweet and spicy (very mild) sauce, dole brand apple & cream parfait topped with sprinkles, and the pickle and goldfish to garnish the beans. Hazel ate one entire mini pizza and the toppings off of another. She took one single bite of her pickle slice and actually started fanning her mouth because of the spice. Earlier she ate four of these?? I'm baffled!

Thank you for joining Hazel and I for these delicious meals! Feel free to check out our other articles for more meal ideals and inspiration!
