Hazel Nutt's Lunch!

My (almost) two year old daughter Hazel's lunch yesterday. She had paw patrol chicken nuggets, pear, pretzel goldfish, as well as chocolate animal crackers. Oh!, And a pepper jack string cheese that I tore into a few pieces! She really only ate her pretzels and cheese though. It shocked me! She loves her chocolate Graham crackers usually.

She only ate one bite of her chicken and left the rest. She's so picky! I'm not sure why but she just refuses to try her pears. I've given them to her before and she always just touches it with her finger and won't eat it. Sometimes I wonder if it's because it's cold, because she doesn't like ice cream either, but she will steal my bowl of cereal sometimes, so I'm just not sure! I don't want her to get stuck with her picky eating habits and I dont know if warm pears would even be good? She doesn't eat all of her warm food 100% of the time either. Like I said, picky!

Yesterday she only ate the tops off her pizza bagels and a couple of broccoli cheese tots! I try to keep her food healthy and yummy! want to introduce a variety of different foods to her diet and keep it fun for her. Some days she eats super well and others she skips a couple of meals! Her brother is very picky too, as was I at their age, so it's no surprise she's being choose-y!

My husband and I go to a friend's house once a week to play dungeons & dragons and I think that would be a great opportunity to practice packing bento style lunches and to try out a thermos for the first time. She usually has chicken nuggets or pizza, so we can heat those up plus the thermos and see if it stays hot. I don't have a lot of experience with lunch "accessories" or "tools" because I rarely brought my lunch from home and my mom actually worked at my elementary school cafeteria.
